Tässä välissähän ehti jo tapahtua vaikka mitä kertomisen arvoista: kävin Raahessa ripustamassa Missä tuuli lakkasi -näyttelyni Galleria Myötätuuleen (ihana reissu! Lehtihaastatteluni voi lukeaRaahen seutu -lehdestä (9.12.); ja radiohaastatteluni voi kuunnella Radio Pookin nettiradion kautta); viikonloppuna olin Jyväskylän taidebasaarissa myymässä vedoksiani ja muuta pientä (mahtava viikonloppu!) ja ehdin perustaa pienimuotoisen vihkotehtaan!
No, en nyt ehkä varsinaista tehdasta kumminkaan. Olen aikani pyöritellyt erilaisia testivedoksia ja monenkokoisia sävymalliprinttejä kaapin pohjalla: ne ei ole myytäväksi tarkoitettu, ja kun sarja on vedostettu loppuun, värimalleilla ja muilla muistiinpanomaisilla koevedoksilla ei enää mitään tee, mutta jotenkin en ole kallista paperia vain raaskinut roskiinkaan heittää. Muutaman vuoden ajan olen kokoillut isommista vedoksista 17x17 cm kokoisia paloja uniikkiteosten pohjaksi myöhempää käyttöä varten, mutta pienempiä paloja en ole oikein osannut hyödyntää millään tavalla. Ennenkuin keksin, että paperi on sen verran vahvaa, että se hyvin toimii pikkuvihkosten kansimateriaalina. Siispä toimeen.
Otan vihkojani mukaan ensi lauantain Jyväskylän Designtorille (17.12. klo 10-16, Pergamenttihalli Jyväskylän Kankaalla) (katso FB-tapahtumasivu), kuten myös vedoksiani, Värikki-kyniä ja muuta pientä.

In between this posting and the last one before it there has happened a lot worth telling about: I visited Raahe and set up my exhibition 'Where the Wind Stopped' at the Gallery Myötätuuli (what a wonderful trip that was!), and after that I was at the Jyväskylä Art Museum Christmas Bazaar last weekend (amazing weekend), and I started a small scale notebook factory!
Well, not really factory. For some time now I've grown my pile of different kind of proof and test prints on my closet: these cannot be sold, and after the print series is finished, I really don't have any use for colour sample prints and other note-like proof prints, but somehow I just don't dare to trash the expensive paper materials. For a couple of years time I have cutted the larger prints into 17x17cm pieces to be used as base for a series of unique prints later, but I haven't found any use for those smaller left over pieces. Before I realized that the paper is strong enough to be used as a cover material for little notebooks. So, there I go.
I will take these notebooks with me to the Jyväskylä Designtori event next Saturday (December 17, 2016 from 10am to 4pm at the Pergamenttihalli at Kangas, Jyväskylä; FB event page), as well as some of my prints, Värikki recycled wax crayons and other small stuff.
