Vihdoinkin yli viisi vuotta työn alla ollut kuvasarja alkaa osoittaa materialisoitumisen merkkejä. Seitsenosaiseksi suunnittelemani "Kyynelpuun oksat" -sarjan ensimmäisestä vedoksesta "Ilonkyyneleet" tuli jotenkin huomattavasti hentoisempi kuin mitä sen vielä luonnosteluvaiheessa luulin olevan. Se nyt jotenkin vain etsi itse muotonsa, minä simppelisti seurasin tyhmänä perässä ja kuuntelin, mitä kuva sanoi. Tämä saa poiketa ihan kaikessa rauhassa muista sarjan töistä, joissa paperilla risteilee huomattavasti tummempia ja paksumpia oksia. Vaikka vielähän nuo kaikki muut kuusi työtä ovat kesken. Muutama on viimeistelyvaiheessa, mutta aika viime metreillä sitä ehtii vielä kuvien maailma pyörähtää ympäri kerran, jos toisenkin.

En nyt sitten malttanut odottaa, että pääsisin kuvaamaan työn studiossa tasaisemmassa valossa, eikä koko asunnosta löydy kolkkaa, jossa valot ja varjot eivät tällä hetkellä leikkisi piirileikkiä. Mutta virallisille teosten laadukkaille pönötyspotreteille on aika sitten myöhemmin, nyt saavat kesän ja valon varjot riemuita yhdessä ilon kyynelten kanssa!

Finally, a series that I have been working with over five years, starts to finish. I have planned the 'Branches of the Tree of Tears' series to include seven prints. The first of them, 'Tears of Joy' is much more delicate than I thought it would be when I was sketching it. Somehow it just found its way itself, I just simply followed where the picture took me, and listened what it said. This one is very different from the other works of the series, in which much more darker and stronger branches are crossing the paper, but it's ok. Although maybe I shouldn't promise anything: those six other works are yet to be finished. Some of them are almost there, but I tend to do big changes at the very end - they still have time to change totally before they reach the printing paper.

I just couldn't wait for the proper photographing circumstances at my studio. There's no place in home, where the lights and shadows wouldn't dance their round game. But there's still good time to take the official good quality photos later, now it's time for the shadows of the summer and light rejoice together with the tears of joy!
