Toisenlaisia loppuja... Yritän nyt ennakoida loppukesän ja alkusyksyn kiirettä tekemällä valmiiksi vedoksia jo olemassa olevista teoksista, jotta sen jälkeen voin rauhassa keskittyä täysin uusiin. Samalla tulin ottaneeksi loppuun muutaman vedossarjan. Myrskyn nousu oli viimeinen Ihmisiä saarillaan -sarjan 2014-2016 teoksista, joka sai reunaansa 30/30 merkinnän (vuoden 2017 teoksista on vielä noin kolmasosa tekemättä). Mutta viimeisen numeron piirsin myös Murheen kyyneltäjään (30/30) ja Pian lähtevän linnun varjo -työhön (20/20).

On se outoa, kuinka haikea olo voi tulla tuon viimeisen numeron kirjoittamisesta. Vähän niinkuin muuttaisi paikasta toiseen ja katsoisi viimeisen kerran tyhjää asuntoaan - että hei hei vaan, oli iloa ja surua, mutta tämän aika oli nyt tässä. -

Tarkoitus on viedä mahdollisimman moni Porin Asuntomessuille (heinäkuu), Galleria Aarnin näyttelyyn (elokuu) ja Habitareen (syyskuu) menevä työ kehystykseen jo nyt toukokuun aikana. Piti jo tänään viedä ensimmäinen setti, mutta signeerauskäsi alkoi eilen antaa sellaisia varoitusmerkkejä väsymisestä, että pakko pitää kynätön päivä, ettei kramppi muutu krooniseksi.

Edit: Maanantain ensimmäinen posti oli luonnollisestikin lasku tilaamistani papereista: 917,90. Käden palautumista odotellessa pitää laskea varmaankin tarkka kehystyssuunnitelma budjetteineen, ettei käy niinkuin viime vuonna, kun paperi-, muste- ja kehystyskulujen vuoksi heinäkuun viikkobudjetti oli noin neljä euroa (onneksi kesällä uusi peruna on hyvää ja halpaa!) :D

The other kinds of endings... I tried to prepare myself to the rush at the end of this summer and beginning of next autumn by making prints of the series of my old images, so I could then concentrate fully on the new ones. At the same times I took the last prints of some series. The Storm Rising was the last of the People on Their Island 2014-2016 prints to have 30/30 marking on it (there are still about one third not printed of the 2017 prints from that series). But I also made the last prints of the The Artisan of the Tears of Grief (30/30) and A Shadow of the Bird Leaving Soon (20/20).

It's the weirdest feeling, writing the last number. Like you were about to move from one place to another, and you were standing there, looking at your old place, thinking - bye, bye, it was both joy and sorrow, but there's time for everything. -

I'm planning to take prints to be framed during May, as many of those that I possibly can. I need the framed ones to Pori Housing Fair (July), Gallery Aarni exhibition (August) and Habitare (September). I had planned to take the first ones to the frameshop already today, but my signing hand started to send warning signs - too much writing. So, I just have to take a break of signing the prints, so the pain wouldn't turn to chronic one.

Edit: Monday. Of course the first mail was a bill of the papers I ordered: 917,90. While waiting my hand recovering, I propably should make a proper budget for my framing plan, so I could avoid what happened last year: because of my paper, ink and framing orders I only had about four euros for a week to use in daily stuff through the whole July! (Luckily in summertime the new potatos are both delicious and cheap!) :D
