Näyttely on pystyssä ja avajaisissa oli kymmenittäin ihmisiä - ja teoksiakin meni kaupaksi. Kaikin puolin hyvä alku siis näyttelylle. Avajaisten päätteeksi kävimme syömässä ravintola Harmoonin puutarharavintolassa. Meille oli kyllä pöytä varattuna sisältä, mutta kun kerran puutarhassa oli juuri sopiva pöytä vapaana ja aivan täydellinen ilma ulkona syömiseen, peruimme varauksen ja asetuimme vanhan omenapuun alle. (Ruoka oli mainiota - suosittelen! - mutta jälkiruoka, mansikoita kermavaahdolla oli lähinnä huono vitsi: alle kymmenen halkaistua mautonta mansikkaa ja muutama vajaa lusikallinen juoksettuneen kerman oloista ainetta - lähinnä harmitti maksajan puolesta.)
Harmillisesti kuvat näyttelytilasta eivät oikein onnistuneet, pitänee tehdä varta vasten kuvausreissu paikan päälle. Mikäs sinne mennessä: Höyry-galleria ja sen sijaintipaikka, Korpilahden sataman alue, on ehdottomasti yksi lempialueitani Keski-Suomessa.

Huominen sunnuntai menee taas täysillä töiden äärellä: on vedoksia, joita pitää etsiä ja toisia, joita pitää tehdä, pitää kirjoittaa, päivittää, kääntää ja vääntää vaikka mitä. Mutta tänään vielä lekottelen lomatunnelmissa. Otan kirjan ja kupillisen kahvia ja teen oloni mukavaksi parvekkeella auringonpaisteessa.

The exhibition at Höyry gallery is now open. There were dozens of people in the opening and some artworks sold. It was a good start for the exhibition, in every way. After the opening we went to eat to a local restaurant Harmooni. We had the table reserved inside, but as it was so magnificent weather, and we found a perfect table at the Harmooni garden restaurant, we decided to stay outside and sat below one old apple tree eating really good food. (The food was actually really good, I can recommend that, but the dessert, strawberries with whipped cream, was almost a joke: only a few half-cut strawberries with strange cream - just made me feel bad for the one who paid the whole thing.)
Sadly our photos of the exhibition space didn't quite succeed. We probably have to make one more trip just to take some photos. Not that I mind: Höyry gallery and the place where it is situated, Korpilahti harbour, is one of my favourite places in Central Finland.

Tomorrow, Sunday, I'll have to start working again: there are some prints to be searched and others to be printed, I have to write, make updates, turn and toss and everything possible. But today I still have a free day, la dolce vita, doing nothing. I'll just grab my book, take a cup of coffee and make myself confortable at my balcony, on the sunshine.
