Ensin lamaantuu, sitten löytää itsensä superhypertehomoodista. Pöydällä on jälleen ihan liian paljon projekteja, mutta mitään ei voi karsia pois. Pitää vain yrittää tasapainotella niin, että jokainen pääsee vuorollaan työn alle ja akuuteimmat aina ensin.
Koska olen luonteeltani luetteloija, tein tietenkin itselleni työlistan:
- Antotypia-projektit. Työprosessia voi seurata omassa blogissaan osoitteessa anthotypical.wordpress.com ja IG:ssa hashtagilla #kuvienkaiku
- Coloria 20v -projektit. Väriteemainen sivustoni täyttää tänä vuonna 20 vuotta. Suunnitellut miitit ja workshopit peruuntuivat (tai siirtyivät hamaan tulevaisuuteen), mutta en ole luovuttanut kokonaan. Luvassa on mm. kaksi ikkunanäyttelyä, joiden valmistelua voi seurata IG:ssa hashtagilla #coloria20 (Ei vielä paljon seurattavaa, kun just aloitin homman...) Toinen näyttelyistä (luonnonvärit) tulee oman työhuoneeni näyteikkunaan heinäkuussa, ja toisesta lisätietoa, kunhan se edistyy vähän pidemmälle.
- Uusia teoksia:
8 uutta vedosta Toinenlainen arki -sarjaan.
6 uutta vedosta Ihmisiä saarillaan -sarjaan.
12 uutta vedosta / uudet sarjat.
Nämä ovat olleet työn alla ja melkein valmiitakin jo vaikka kuinka kauan, mutta kun en meinaa löytää tarpeeksi "ehjää" aikaa, jotta oikeasti pääsisin viimeistelemään työt ja tekemään edes koevedokset niistä, että asia edistyisi vähän. Mutta kunhan tuon antotypia-projektini akuuteimman osan saan ensin kiireellisimpänä alta pois... - Colour Wheels Gone Mad - monotypia / monoprint -projekti Coloria.netin 20-vuotisjuhlavuoteen liittyen. Materiaalit sain kokoon vihdoin tällä viikolla, joten työn pääsen aloittamaan toukokuun alkupuolella. Tätä projektia voi seurata IG:ssa hashtagilla #colourwheelsgonemad
- Toinen monoprinttiprojekti, vielä vähän salainen, mutta ollut suunnitelmissa jo viime vuoden keväästä! Pari kuukautta sitten vihdoin keksin, kuinka toteutan tämän ja tähänkin on jo materiaalit koossa, joten toukokuussa pääsen vihdoin tämänkin pariin. Lisätietoa, kunhan speksit on täysin kunnossa.
- Värit ja kemia -kirjanen, joka on vielä kuvitusta ja taittoa vailla. Työajaksi olin (tottakai) epäonnisesti valinnut tämän kevään ja kirjanen piti suihkauttaa jo loppukesästä Coloria.net 20v -juhlavuoden tuotoksena ulos, mutta uusiksihan tämä aikataulu meni, kun tuli muuta säätöä. Työn alla kumminkin, ja johonkin meinaan sekä kuvittamiselle että taittotyölle aikaa varata. (Painatus onkin sitten eri juttu, kun siihen varaamani rahat kuluvat nyt muuhun. Mutta eiköhän sekin jotenkin järjesty - ja murehdin sitä sitten, kun kirja on muutoin kasassa.)
Ja ihan kuin näissä ei olisi tarpeeksi tekemistä, aloin tänään askarrella itselleni verkkokauppaa. En ole nyt tehnyt nettihommia pariin vuoteen, ja aika tehokkaasti tieto päästä näköjään häviää. Piti googlata erikseen ohjeet lapsi-teeman tekemiseen, joten ei tämä kauppa varmaan ihan heti aukea :D
First I almost paralyzed and got nothing done, and now I've found myself in this super hyper over active mode with dozens of project on my desk, and not even one I could leave without attention. I just have to balance in a way that every project gets some attention at some point.
Because I like doing lists, I made a list of these:
- Anthotype projects which you can follow in their own work diary at anthotypical.wordpress.com and on my IG with hashtag #kuvienkaiku
- Coloria 20 years projects - my colour themed website turns twenty this year. All the events and workshops I planned were cancelled, but I've not given up. There will be two display window exhibitions, and you can follow preparing of those in IG with hashtag #coloria20 (Not much yet...) The other tiny exhibition on natural dyes will be shown in my studio display window, and I'll share more information of the other later on.
- New artworks
8 new prints to the Another kind of life series.
6 new prints to the People on their islands series.
12 new prints / new series.
These have been on my desk for ages, and almost finished, but I just can't find "clear" time to really finish those sketches and print the first test prints of them. But until the most acute phase of my anthotype project is over... - Colour Wheels Gone Mad - monotype / monoprint -project for my Coloria.net 20 year anniversary. I finally received all the materials I need this week, so I can start the work by the beginning of may. This project can be folloed in IG with hashtag #colourwheelsgonemad
- Another monoprint project... there's a bit secrecy still, but I have planned this since the spring last year! A couple of months ago I finally figured out how to do this, and I also have now materials for this, and I can start working with it in May too. More information to come!
- A booklet about colour and chemistry (in Finnish only) has been written already a few years ago, but is still missing illustrations and layout. I had preserved some time to do this (of course) unluckily from this spring, and of course I had to reschedule everything. But it's on its way and I'm planning to find time somewhere. (Printing it will be whole another thing, since all the money I've saved for this are needed now elsewhere. But it will be ok in some way - and I worry about it then, when the booklet is otherwise ok.)
Here are the most important ones, which I thought to make by Midsummer. Not very realistic scheduling though, because most of these projects include all kinds of time-consuming subprojects. But I need to be unrealistic, if I just want to get something done.
And like this wasn't enough... I just started setting up a web shop for myself today. I haven't worked with web site projects for a couple of years now, and I can tell, that all the knowledge vanishes pretty fast. I had to google the instructions for making a child theme... so I won't be expecting this to open anytime soon... :D
