Voi ihme tätä ajan lentämistä / ...How the time flies

I meant to write my blog right after the Open Doors day at the Tourula Artists Studios, about how great the day was, and how much the visitors generated somekind of inner power for me for a long time ahead. On the very next day I planned to write about how great surprise it was to visit Gallery Becker on my way to father's day lunch with my dad: I was only delivering one print to the gallery, and instead I met with two couples who both were buying my artworks (the other couple was planning to buy a whole small series) - I felt so bubbly happy the whole day after that. On Monday I thought about blogging about my survival of the grant applications a long before deadline. And after dthen the days have just slipped away one after an other in a way, that I haven't even managed to write my workdiary (which is a daily list of the stuff I have done, so I can later check the dates of some job if needed), nor my blog. Last week was a busy week anyway. This is what I remember: I got a flu vaccination (which was why the whole week was a bit feverish), I prepared the packing of Raahe exhibition works and bought a lot of packing materials, I checked out my Detached installation and we fixed a proper tubes for its transportation, I picked up my new tablet, I signed and sent the exhibition/residence contract of Galerie Pleiku (Berlin in August 2017!), we helped dad buying a telly and installing it, I made the colour adjustments and test prints of three old prints from In Continuums series (and now, after three year's pause, I finally get to print them again!), I cut about one cubic meter of cardboard to back cardboards for my prints, I signed some prints I had made earlier, I took more prints to Gallery Becker, I collected my October receipts & bills and took them to my bookkeeper, I took care of Plankko Popup accounting & paperwork, I went to order more print for my pigment ink printer and luckily I found also some ink for my laser printer from Clas Ohlson, after some searching I found myself a calendar for the next year, as well as sticky tape, and yesterday's shopping tour I also bought some kraft paper for packages, battery charged led lights for decorative purposes for our Popup, and a large enough cardboad box for my framed prints and something else - I just can't remember anymore what that something was. And not necessarily in this order. I have a very faint memory of sketching a new artwork in some point, but I don't really have a clear image on that. But there is a new sketch on my table, so I have to believe it.

In between all this planning, preparing and carrying things around - storage jobs as I call it - my creativity bubbles impatiently inside me. I've been slowly working with my new artworks that will be shown in Ratamo exhibition in January, but I can hardly wait, when I will get some whole days to work with them, and not just shreds of time here and there.
