Sohva ja videoita // A Couch and some videos

Muutosten tuulet jatkuvat. Vihdoin printteri toiminnassa, kone viety huoltoon ja noudettu sieltä (mysteerivikaa ei tosin saatu ratkaistua), muutama projektisuunnitelma saatu kasaan ja koko läjä kesästä asti odottaneita asioita saatu hoidettua. Yksi niistä Verba-videorunotrilogiani esittelyn verkkoon laittaminen, mikä on roikkunut to do -listallani häpeällisen kauan, kesäkuun Black Wall Galleryn (Vaasa) näyttelystä lähtien (siellä trilogia sai kokonaisuutensa ensiesityksensä). No, nyt on videot Vimeossa ja esittely nettisivuillani - menkää katsomaan!

Isoin muutos on kuitenkin harmaa sohva, jonka kaksi urhoollista nuorta miestä kantoi tänään neljännen kerroksen kapeiden käytävien ja tiukkojen kulmien läpi olohuoneeseemme. Edelliseen matalaan ja nuhjuiseen vihreällä plyyshillä päällystettyyn seitkytlukulaiseen nojatuolipariin verrattuna harmaa jätti on melkoisen massiivinen ja aikuisen oloinen. Ja uutuudessaan sen verran pelottava, että syön myskikurpitsakeittoni seisaaltaan eteisessä (koska keittiö on varattu taideprojektin lakkausprosessia varten, työhuoneessa on printterin asennustavarat levällään ja sinne olohuoneeseen ei nyt vain uskalla mennä ruoan kanssa, ettei sohva vanhene ennen aikojaan). No, muutosten kanssa oppinee elämään?

The winds of change continue. Finally I've got my printer working, my computer has visited the repairing shop (the mystery problem was not though solved), a couple of project plans finished and a pile of stuff that has been waiting since summer is now taken care of. On of them being the introduction of my Verba video poem trilogy, which has been hanging on my to do list embarassinly long time, since the exhibition at the Black Wall Gallery (Vaasa) last June (where the trilogy premiered). Well, now there are videos uploaded to Vimeo and a project introduction on my webpage - go and check them out!

The biggest change has been, however, the grey couch, which was carried up to our living room at the fourth floor, and through some narrow corridors and tight corners, by two very brave young men. Compared to our old pair of shabby green plush armchairs (well, armless ones, in this case) from 70s, this grey giant is quite massive and grown-up. And with it's newness scary enough for me to eat my butternut squash soup standing at the hallway (because the kitchen is taken by my art project varnishing process, the printer installation stuff has filled my work room and I just don't dare to go into living room with any food, so the couch won't spoil rightaway). I learn to live with this - don't I?
